Saving Money is Easy....Kind Of

The amount you are able to save with couponing and other things depends on how much time you are willing to put into finding savings you will actually use on things you already buy.

I am a "bad" money saver. I am not willing to buy generics and compromise taste/quality. I prefer to find coupons for things I would actually buy in the first place, not just use coupons for things I don't necessarily like just because they're cheap.

That said, how does one go about finding coupons for things they want to buy? Your BEST bet is to go directly to the manufacturers website. They will always have the best coupons. If there aren't coupons on their site, email them and tell them how much you like their products. I did this with Huggies and they sent me $5.00 worth of coupons---not too bad for 5 minutes of my time.

Bummas Product Review and Giveaway

Bummas very kindly sent me a sample of their wild-ones cloth baby wipes to review. When I first received them I was kind of skeptical, wondering how often I would actually use them. However, after using them for just one day, I realized how often I really could use them---and the many things they could be used for.

According to Bummas website, these are their uses:

• Avert the squirt when changing diapers.
• Thoroughly dry baby after cleaning up.
• Convenient shoulder armor for burping and feeding.
• Take them with you for quick clean-ups.
• So soft and supple, it's perfect for their little noses.
• Great for baths as a baby wash cloth!

I used the Bummas that were sent to me for 2 weeks and washed them numerous times. I used them for all of the uses mentioned on the website and they worked great for every single use mentioned.

I used to leave Molly without a diaper for a little while after a diaper change, which almost inevitably ended up in me getting peed on. With her Bummas I could dry her bum off and put her diaper on right away without worrying about diaper rash.

They're a great size for using as a burp cloth. Molly doesn't normally spit up on me--she spits up all over herself and these were perfect for cleaning her up. They also are the perfect size for using as a wash cloth in the tub--and I found them to be thicker and nicer to use than my standard wash cloths!

All in all, I highly recommend these. They help you avoid the use of baby powder, avoid diaper rash and they have many uses.
